Located at the end of 5th Avenue, bounded by Penn Avenue and Liberty Avenue this 31 floor building is an amazing site. No one can miss its pyramidal crown roof with a long mast coming up out of the middle. At the top of mast is an light to alert aircraft where the top of the building is. The mast however is not circular as it appears from the ground level but instead it is actually 12-sided and is hollow with a ladder inside to make for easy access to change the aircraft warning light. All the blue glass that cascades down the sides of the building was made Pittsburgh based PPG Industries. Inside the building on the first two floors is the Arcade Shops and Food Court. Here you will find several stores such as Sam Goody and restaurants such as Sabarros and Flamers. Across the street from 5th avenue Place on Penn Avenue is an Old Navy clothing store.
